Each uncoated bilayer tablet contains:
Glimepride IP                                            2mg
Metformin Hydrochloride IP                      500mg
(In Sustained Release form)

INTRODUCTION
Diabetirid–G2M tablet is a combination of two antidiabetic medicines: Glimepiride and Metformin. Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea which works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas in order to lower the blood glucose. Metformin is a biguanide which works by lowering glucose production in the liver, delaying glucose absorption from intestines and increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin.
Diabetirid-g2m tablet is a drug that is used on treating patients suffering from type 2 diabetes, who can’t control sugar levels through diet and exercise alone. Hence this drug is used to enhance the effects of diet and exercise. It is also used along with other anti-diabetic medicines. It is a type of sulfonylurea anti diabetic medicine which helps the pancreas in releasing insulin thus helping reduce the blood sugar level. It belongs to a class of drugs known as sulfonylureas. Diabetirid-g2m tablet is available in oral tablet form.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it.
